Meet Marnene
In 1986 I received my certificate in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. Although it was my desire to work with athletes in that venue, my heart was captured by a group of autistic children which I would teach for the next decade.
I have always had an interest in massage and its effect on the body, mind and spirit. While working with the kids it became apparent that “touch” was indeed an important aspect in my work with that special group of children. In 1993 I began my formal training at Western College of Therapeutic Massage. I used my new skills in touch to help bring a sense of peace and well-being to the children that I worked with in the Santa Clara County School District.
In the summer of 2006 I decided to return to my original love and began to practice massage therapy on a professional level. I strive for growth in my techniques, treatments and client satisfaction. I presently hold certificates in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine, Swedish, Pregnancy and Postpartum, Hot Stone, Advanced Practitioner and Chair massage. I am currently studying Strain-Counter Strain therapy and am very excited about integrating it into my sessions.
